What is P-value: (Probability Value)

P-value: (Probability Value)

The probability that an observed difference could have occurred by chance.

If P < alpha

The difference is statistically significant.

So Accept Alternative Hypothesis (H1) and Reject Null Hypothesis (Ho).

If P = > alpha,

The difference between groups is not statistically significant / the difference

could not be detected. So, Accept Null Hypothesis (Ho) and Alternative Hypothesis (H1).

Note:  Alpha value may be either 0.05 0r 0.01 level of Significance.
